This restaurant seeks to highlight the epicurean nature of espresso, the communal aspect of food, and the theatrical possibilities accompanying such interaction.

The bar is the local point of the entry level and has strong visual connection to the exterior patio and the interior seating areas at the upper level.

Hope is a modern and innovative interpretation of the traditional lamp. The traditional candle magic used optical and physical qualities of Bohemian crystal and hand-blown Venetian glass to the light source multiplied into hundreds of tiny points of light, creating a unique and fun.

Hope was born from a creative intuition, and was a long process of creative and technological research in which we managed to put heavy and breakable glass on a sheet of ultra-light for its exceptional qualities of regular glass optics reproduce polycarbonate.

Based on the principles of Fresnel lenses,developed and manufactured in molded polycarbonate, which is characterized by a shiny outer surface and a textured interior treated with a series of concentric micro-prisms.

The result is an extremely high quality plastic I like to call “meta-glass” because of its ability to absorb and break the light.

Organize the lens around the light source to prevent glare and ensure proper distribution of light was an additional Design Challenge. The solution came from a series of stems that hold and the structure of the “meta-crystal sheets, which then result is attached to a light metal structure inspired by the shape of diatoms.

All these creative decisions and technology are designed to ensure the lighting effects, but also for mounting and transporting the product to facilitate, in fact, there is hope of a surprisingly small and light package.
